The ACC has been very fortunate to have placed 5 large breed dogs stateside to start of 2025. To get these dogs stateside is a 2 day journey from St. Thomas, to Miami, then onto their final destination. Its also costs anywhere from $1200-$1600 to get them there. These dogs are too big to travel carry on with escorts, so we have to book them cargo. As of yesterday we flew one more dog out, and and have 2 more waiting to go!
The ACC is hoping to raise another $4,500 to get these next few dogs to their forever homes. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

The shelter is looking for 3-4 volunteer dog walkers this coming Saturday morning at 830am. We are short staffed and could really use the help getting the dogs out for their walks as staff gets the kennels cleaned.

The Animal Care Center (ACC) of St. John is located in Cruz Bay. The ACC addresses the problems of cruelty to, neglect and abuse of island animals. The shelter provides kennels for homeless dogs and inside cages for a limited number of homeless cats.
