We want to wish our wonderful Assistant Manager, Robyn, a very happy birthday!
Robyn has been a key part of our success over the last three years, and we want to thank her for her hard work and dedication. Her care and concern for our animals, the community members, and the vacationers who visit us are evident every day. She is always ready to help, and it is an absolute joy to work with her.
If you see Robyn today or over the weekend, please join us in wishing her a happy birthday. She plays a vital role in keeping the ACC running!
***We don't take on goats (but we have friends who do) she tired to disguise this one as a kitten***

Reminder when coming across kittens:
We are officially into kitten season. In the last few weeks we have taken in 15 kittens. We feel like this is the perfect time to remind everyone of the kitten protocol.
Kittens always do better with their mama. If you see a nursing kitten (under 4 weeks) in the bush, leave it where it is. Mama is likely out hunting. If she doesn't return in a few hours, then you can pick up the kitten and call the shelter.
If you see kittens that are about 5 weeks or older, you can get them and call the shelter.
Be sure to CALL THE SHELTER before you bring in any kittens.
We like to know where they kittens were found so we can put the area on the trap list for this year's spay/neuter event.
If you have any questions about kittens, please contact us at 340-774-1625, email info@stjacc.org or send us a private message through Facebook.

Great chart. Thank you and sent it along

We are currently running low on essential items that we use daily at the shelter.
While we have a variety of needs listed on our Amazon Wish List, canned dog food is our most urgent priority, along with specialty cat litter for our little 5-6 week old kittens.
We would greatly appreciate any donations that can be provided as we move into the summer months.
You can follow the link below to our Wish List. Items will ship directly to us. Thank you for the support! If you have any questions regarding any of the items on the list please just PM our page!

The Animal Care Center (ACC) of St. John is located in Cruz Bay. The ACC addresses the problems of cruelty to, neglect and abuse of island animals. The shelter provides kennels for homeless dogs and inside cages for a limited number of homeless cats.
The ACC is a stable resource for the community, providing a no-kill shelter for homeless animals, a resource for animal lovers to find perfect pets, programs for island needs, and a community educational component.

We have a range of volunteering activities that we would love for you to participate in.
